As I reviewed the collections that were shown during New York Fashion Week, there were quite a few collections that stood out to me, and J. Mendel was definitely one of them. I love the J. Mendel collection, maybe it’s just because I’m a sucker for leather, fur, coats and jackets? The J. Mendel Fall 2014 collection is Gilles Mendel paying homage to his Franco-Russian heritage; and he does this very well. The fur and leather pieces really made the collection, but I did love the white wrap blouse with the deep neckline pair with the black trousers paired with the multicolored fur boa. Totally stunning, and something I would definitely want to wear a million times over. The multicolored coats are an awesome topper for the cold fall and winter months, and the way the coat is belted makes it an outfit all on its own. There’s also no way I could forget about the teal leather dress. Leather is everything this season and will be next year. This is an item we will see again on some it girls for sure. Check out the photos of my favorite pieces from J. Mendel below.
