Bombers are EVERYWHERE right now, and they’ve become a staple in everyone’s wardrobe. I’ll admit that I have about five in wardrobe, that I’ve collected over the past two years. I love how versatile they can be and how they can dress down an entire look. I paired this olive bomber with a white tunic top, cropped denim and heeled booties for a easy, downtown feel. I like the easy and effortlessness of the look, perfect for brunch or lunch with the girls.

If you haven’t caught on by now, I love jackets. I almost always abide by the three piece rule – it’s a necessity. So when I came across this metallic jacket during a visit to a local thrift shop, I needed it to come home with me. I actually purchased it about a year ago and I’m ashamed to say that I wore it once and kept in my closet, swearing that I would pair it with something else again soon (yeah right).
But, behold the metallic trend, which is gaining momentum among bloggers, such as, Mimosas in Manhattan
, high-end designers such as Ann Demeulemeester
, and my closet (win). This trend can be paired with just about anything, but works really well with simpler pieces, being that it’s a statement on it’s own. I threw on a screen tee, pleated mini skirt, booties and topped off the look with the jacket. I would swap the skirt for a pair of cropped skinnies for an even more casual look.
Sometimes, the next big thing is already in your closet.
