Acne Studios shearling coat I’ve been lusting over, but for more reasons than one, that designer piece is over my head (right now).
It’s the most wonderful time of the year…the time of year when you can’t leave the house without a coat. But wearing a coat doesn’t mean you have to cover up a killer look underneath, you can create a look around the outerwear. I snagged this leather and faux fur coat on on an impromptu stop at the thrift shop; and it caught my attention the minute I saw the green hue and the fur peeking out of the rack. It really reminded me of this
The green hue is unique, but plays into the trendy, minimalist vibe. The faux fur gives the coat more depth and edge. I paired the coat with a lace up sweater to add a cozy vibe to the look and a pair of thigh high leather boots to play up the edginess of the coat.

As you know, or have gathered by now, denim is my jam. I love how versatile it can be in terms of fit, wash, and the option of dressing it up or keeping it super casual. I’ve been wanting to add utilitarian denim jumpsuit to my wardrobe, but I could never find the right fit, style or price point. When I saw this jumpsuit, I pounced and ordered it right away – even though it was only available online, but the style and price were exactly what I wanted, so I took a risk in terms of fit. I wasn’t in love with it when I unwrapped it, but after a few mirror pics and pairing it with pieces in my closet, I fell in love. I loved the oversized fit and the comfort level was at 100.
I’ve worn it a million times and paired with everything from my Adidas sneakers to my Alexander Wang boots. This time, I went for a Spring friendly look, adding wedge sandals, a printed scarf and belt bag. This look is perfect for that girl on the go, and translate into a killer night out look, (just swap the belt bag for a clutch).
It’s all about that denim, baby.

Spring, just like fall is textbook transitional weather. One minute it’s chilly like it’s still winter and the next minute your peeling your clothes off like it’s already summer. My way to combat this annoyance and still be the fashion forward girl is layering. It’s key to your sanity and your look during transitional periods. I’m still obsessed with this denim coat I snagged last fall, because it’s so unique and it is the perfect layering piece. It’s warm enough to wear as a coat on warmer Spring mornings but is also cool enough to get through the warmer afternoons. (I keep telling myself that I’m actually going to close it up and wear it as a dress but it still hasn’t happened). My favorite look for it, is paired with a shift or shirt dress, because I love the long denim coat contrasted with the short dress. I wore these killer over the knee boots to pull it all together. Had pull them out for the last time (maybe) before I store them until fall.
Transitional weather is definitely that time to wear all of your favorite pieces together.
