Embroidery is everywhere right now, from denim to handbags – all the cool girls are into it. So like the cool girl and trend experimenter that I am, I decided to take it for a spin in this mini dress by Free People. The first time I saw this dress, I couldn’t tell if I was I really into it, but once I tried it on, I was sold. I really liked the cape-like look of the sleeves, and how breezy it felt. The flow of the skirt was super cute, and let me show off a little leg ;).
I paired this look with lace up wedge espadrilles for added drama, and to add more volume to the dress. This is a great look for weekend brunch with the girls, or a daytime date with your beau. The embroidery trend is definitely worth adding into your summer wardrobe, especially in this dress.
Who would have thought that a modern update to embroidery could be so chic?
